Arrival by train

Dammtor mainline station is just a few steps away. It links Hamburg Messe directly with the mainline rail network of Deutsche Bahn, including ICE high-speed trains, thus connecting it with the international rail system. It is only 8 minutes’ walk from Dammtor station to Messe Entrance East. If you arrive at Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), it is only one station from there to Dammtor station (for the East Entrance), by S-Bahn S21 (towards Elbgaustrasse). That is just two minutes on the train.

Arrival by car

We recommend to use the Underground Car Park East (Bei den Kirchhöfen). It is directly next to Messe East Entrance (main entrance of the ITS World Congress). Detailed information on the individual parking options you will find here. As not all parking spaces are permanently available and to avoid traffic jams at peak times, we recommend using public transport of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV).

Arrival by plane

The modern airport is located around 10 km from the Hamburg Messe in the northern district of Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel. The best flight connections can be found on the Hamburg Airport website. The terminals at Hamburg Airport have direct connections to the route network of the Hamburger Verkehrsverbund (HVV). This means that you can quickly get from the airport to Hamburg City after landing without changing planes.
